How we are funded

The Malaria Capacity Development Consortium (MCDC) was awarded a £7.3 million grant by the Wellcome Trust to extend and expand the doctoral and postdoctoral capacity development programme funded previously by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), through the Gates Malaria Partnership (GMP).

The consortium has also received an award of $5 million from BMGF which will allow it to sustain the investment in the investigators who were previously trained through the GMP.
