Lynette Isabella Ochola-Oyier

Dr Lynette Isabella Ochola-Oyier obtained her PhD under the Gates Malaria Partnership. She received a Re-entry Grant from the Malaria Capacity Development Consortium (MCDC) for her project: The molecular relationship between drug resistance and merozoite invasion based at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme, Kilifi Kenya.

Dr Ochola-Oyier hastransferred her base to the College of Biological and Physical Sciences at the University of Nairobi and has successfully established a new molecular biology laboratory there. She was appointed visiting lecturer for the university in November 2011; an appointment which runs until 2016. She has taken on her first MSc student, whose research is being supported by an MCDC Initiative award, and provides regular support to other MSc students in the university.
