MCDC awards 18 PhD Scholarships

MCDC awards 18 PhD Scholarships (Students at CoM, Malawi) (C) MCDC 2009
The Malaria Capacity Development Consortium (MCDC) is pleased to announce the successful recruitment of 18 PhD scholars following an extremely competitive application process that involved over 250 applications.

In total 18 of the 20 student places have now been recruited to undertake their PhD studies. The students will complete their research in the following MCDC partner institutions:

* College of Medicine, University of Malawi (CoM), Malawi
* Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College, Moshi (KCMC), Tanzania
* Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana
* Faculty of Medicine and School of Public Health, Makerere University, Kampala,   Uganda
* Faculty of Medicine, Université Cheikh Anta Diop (University of Dakar), Senegal

However, there are two remaining studentships at CoM, Malawi that remain unfilled, so an additional call for applications to fill these places will be made on this site in the near future.
