Personal Development Planning (PDP) is a structured and supported process to assist individuals with their educational, career and professional development. The dynamic process involves a continuous cycle of critical reflection, action planning, monitoring progress, recording achievements and evaluating developments.

The MCDC PDP programme uses the expertise and resources of a Professional Development and Educational Advisor to provide individual support and help to develop five-year individualised Personal Development Action Plans, implement plans, monitor progress, and review on-going PDP developments.

PhD students:

As part of their five-year PDP programme, the students have developed a one-year Personal Development Action Plan – which is individual to their needs and focuses specifically on developing the skills, techniques and knowledge required to help with them with the first year of their research studies.

MCDC Investigators:

As part of the MCDC PDP programme, Investigators develop a five-year career development plan, which focuses on developing the individual identified needs required to assist with their career development and progression.
