Summary

The CDG at KCMC formed with support from MCDC, is a stable group made of members from Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo), Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) and Kilimanjaro Clinical Research Institute (KCRI), three semi-autonomous institutions of the KCMC. This means that the implementation of activities is expected to solidly cut across and meet specific CDG needs of the institutions. The group has formulated activities, which will be anchored in the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies (DPS). Activities have been shared amongst the group, MCDC and the DPS. Members of the CDG have over this time been able to informally initiate the buy-in process through one-to-one talks and discussions. There is a common sense of commitment and support to the concept and activities as a whole. Detailed work plan is in place and legal documents have been finalized to commence activities early February 2015.
