School-based malaria control: Impact of Intermittent Preventive Treatment on malaria morbidity and cognitive function in Ugandan school children
Background

Joaniter is a medical graduate from Makerere University, Uganda. She has post graduate training in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and is currently a lecturer in the Clinical Epidemiology Unit at the university. In 2014, Joaniter was awarded the young investigators' award at the 61st ASTMH meeting and was awarded the Distinguished Scholar Award from the Infectious Disease Research Collaboration. Joaniter successfully defended her PhD thesis on 28 March 2014. She is now undertaking a post-doctoral fellowship with MCDC.
