Wilson Mandala

MCDC PI for CoM & MCDC Investigator

Dr Wilson Mandala is the Principal Investigator for the Malaria Capacity Development Consortium's work at the College of Medicine, University of Malawi and as such is the lead on institutional research capacity strengthening plans there. He is also an MCDC investigator and received an Initiative Award for his project: Cytokine profile and regulatory T cell levels in children recovering from uncomplicated malaria living in highly endemic malaria areas.

Dr Mandala completed his PhD under the Gates Malaria Partnership, the predecessor to MCDC. He is now a Lecturer in Biochemistry at the College of Medicine, University of Malawi.
