Dr Standwell Nkhoma receives Wellcome Trust Intermediate Fellowship in Tropical Medicine and Public Health

Congratulations to MCDC Investigator Dr Standwell Nkhoma on receiving a Wellcome Trust Intermediate Fellowship in Tropical Medicine and Public Health.

The four year fellowship, will see Dr Nkhoma move back to Malawi to carry out research at the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust Clinical Research programme based in Blantyre, with periods of collaborative research in Texas, at the Biomedical Research Institute, where he has been based until recently and with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine where he obtained his PhD. Dr Nkhoma will be undertaking field work in the Chikwawa district of Malawi.
