Uganda

We work with the Faculty of Medicine and School of Public Health at Makerere University supporting them in strengthening research capacity within the university. Three MCDC PhD students are also registered at here.

• MCDC investigator, Dr Anthony Mbonye has been working in Mukono district in central Uganda genotyping drug resistant strains of Plasmodium falciparum.
• Dr Fred Matovu conducted an investigation of the socio-economic factors influencing use of Insecticide Treated Nets (ITNs) in Uganda.
