The Gambia

Two MCDC investigator projects are taking place in The Gambia both linked to the MRC Laboratories:

• Dr Kalifa Bojang is investigating the risk factors for malaria in children presenting to outpatient departments in a setting of low transmission.
• Dr Lesong Conteh is conducting a study on the perceived quality of malaria treatment in a context of decreasing malaria endemicity in Farafenni, a town in the North Bank Division of The Gambia.
